Station Stories

The Station is a place of many stories, of people who have lived here, people who have worked here, and people who have travelled through.
It is still busy with passengers, with double the trains coming this year, and the Station House is once again becoming a much loved family home.

We have a lot to learn about its history, its construction, the line and layout, buildings, operation, and all the changes that have occurred over the years.
Most of all there are so many stories to gather from the people who lived here and who used the station.

We are very keen to hear from you if you can help us :

  • are you a Dalmally Station family?
  • did a member of your family work at the station, or use it regularly?
  • do you have any images of the station – or of people at the Station?
  • do you know of magazine articles, plans, records that will help us create as detailed a history as we can.

Please drop in and see us if you can, we love meeting people with links to the Station, we love hearing the stories.
It is going to be so much fun to share what we are learning.

These pages will be used to share information as we gather it, with appropriate attribution for any donations.
For visitors to the station, we are collecting a paper archive of the material to share as well.
Follow this page back in time.

An exciting journey ahead, please take a while to browse the basic information we have gathered here, and we do so look forward to your contributions ………..
Can you provide the covering on the skeleton of the stories of Dalmally Station ?
